I know she used to just eat whatever she’s preparing… Lmao.  She doesnt really care about sharing what’s she’s done with those “Oh-so-yummy-lookin-stuff” that I, unfortunately, only see in her Facebook album, since I dont get a friggin’ chance to taste them!! .. Greeaat. -_- .. I could only watch her bake some fancy lookin cookies over a web cam since she is very far from here. And everytime I turn my cam on to see her, I always feel like Im watchin Food network.

She cooks the food, takes a pic of the food, gives it a lot of weird names and punishes people by sharing stomach-grumbling pics .. But now…. :)

She’s officially opened her Food blog.. ( and somehow a Travel blog too.. )
No, she’s not a Chef..  She only loves to cook.

Just wondrin “whatchamagonna do with just a day off, ahead of me”. Its already Saturday morning and Im not even excited about the weekend. Im normally the “Wohhooo- TGIF!!- type of person ” , but today’s different coz I realized I have work on Sunday ..

Sheeshhh… -_- Oh well, I guess I’ll have to catch up with havin fun next weekend.. :c Photobucket Random picture I took inside the office.  I was dying to go home and curl up in bed. Yays.. and yea..  I looked like a school girl. Lol Anyway. I just wanna share this with you guys. ( Coz seriously, Ive been tryin to squeeze this in my weekend list but I just couldnt find the time. ) This is my artcraft. ÜPhotobucket

They call this art ” Epoxy Bottle sculpture” but I call it  “Bottle Dream”. Coz they’re just ordinary wine bottles turned into beautiful decorative pieces.  I made this flower bottle for my aunt. Ü Sorry bout the dusty look, its been standing in a corner for over 3 years now. Photobucket

My cousin Ate Jean took this photo when they ran into an art shop somewhere in Davao. These bottles are soooo pretty. Ü Im already able to create those designs, but I need a little more of practice to perfect them. This art is a little bit complicated and time-consuming, so you need to have a lot of time and patience when doing this.  I have badly wanted to put up my own business with these custom bottles and mugs but I have to come up with a plan . My primary investment for this business is not money, its gonna be time and skill. ( And yes! I have the skill, so dont argue. Lol. jk. :p My friends are protesting coz they find it hard to believe Im actually into arts. ) I used to create mystic bottles for gifts and all, and they never fail to impress people, heard a lot them  saying I should put up a business for this because a lot of em are already willing to pay.  That was  a good idea but I realize I have to be organized with this if Im serious about it. Anyhoe, that’s all about it. If you wanna see more pictures of this please visit my website ( www.bottle-dream.com ). This website is still on the works as I still have to upload more pictures of my most recent designs. Ha ha .. I am not advertising yet , but if you are interested , you can holla  me for details or leave a comment below. Ü Im already accepting orders . Ü

Alexandra Wallace – Asian’s in the Library rant

Posted in Rants, Reviews, Social Sites, Uncategorized on March 25th, 2011 by Joan Mae – Be the first to comment

Well, this is actually just one of the hundreds of blog and video responses to the UCLA student’s infamous “Asian’s in the Library” youtube video. I personally think that video was very inappropriate , specially that it turned viral shortly after the Japan’s tsunami disaster . For those of you who got no idea of what the video is all about, she was actually trying to make a humorous video rant about Asian’s having no manners, talking aloud over the phone, inside the library , while she’s busy with her finals.

Well, if she’s really that annoyed , thats understandable, but post something like that in Youtube and attacking Asian’s in general is .. offensive. Well, there’s freedom of speech and there’s stupid-racist speech, and I think she did the latter with flying colors. She even referenced Japan’s tsunami, mocked about asian’s talking over the phone with their loved ones, blew it off like it was just a minor thing. I mean, I dont hate her really, but the video was completely inappropriate.
The video unfortunately, made a huge backlash on her, she received death threats and got her personal information published in public. A serious backfire.. I feel sorry for her..

An apology letter she made in UCLA’s online news source , the Daily Bruins :

In an attempt to produce a humorous YouTube video, I have offended the UCLA community and the entire Asian culture. I am truly sorry for the hurtful words I said and the pain it caused to anyone who watched the video. Especially in the wake of the ongoing disaster in Japan, I would do anything to take back my insensitive words. I could write apology letters all day and night, but I know they wouldn’t erase the video from your memory, nor would they act to reverse my inappropriate action.

I made a mistake. My mistake, however, has lead to the harassment of my family, the publishing of my personal information, death threats, and being ostracized from an entire community. Accordingly, for personal safety reasons, I have chosen to no longer attend classes at UCLA.
